That kind-hearted nightingale lost its life. This extraordinary rose turns dark red.

Her favorite celebrity is Kobe who is good at playing basketball.
|---|---|
| 人 | that, who, whom, whose |
| 物 | that, which, whose |
| 时间 | that, which, when |
| 地点 | that, which, where |
| 原因 | that, which, why |
Tiechui is the millionaire who falls in love with Dayan. - 先行词是人,从句缺宾语:that/who/whom。
Tiechui is the millionaire whom Dayan falls in love with.
Tiechui is the millionaire whose father is impoverished.

Watch out! Don’t get too close to the house whose roof is under repair.
After living in Beijing for sixty years, she returned to the small town where she grew up as a child.
The words used by the speaker may stir up unfavorable reactions in the listener which interfere with his comprehension.
The Greeks assumed that the structure of language had some connection with the process of thought, which took root in Europe long before people realized how diverse languages could be.
My husband enjoys talking with other ladies, which drives me crazy.
As a linguist, he acknowledges that all varieties of human language, including non-standard ones like Black English, can be powerfully expressive—there exists no language or dialect in the world that cannot convey complex ideas.
I love Ms. Liu who is beautiful.
I love Ms. Liu, who is beautiful.
A nurse is a person who looks after patients.
Tom’s father, who is over sixty, still works very hard.
John’s laughter, which was very infectious, broke the silence.
Lu Yao is a great writer born in Shaanxi Province, which is known to us all.
She was very patient towards the children, which her husband seldom was.
I enjoy the movie we saw yesterday. — movie 后省略 thatThe climate change we are hastening could one day leave us with forests that emit more carbon than they absorb. — change 后省略 thatIn theory, a girl may veto the spouse her parents have chosen. — spouse 后省略 that
as 后常接 be 动词。
As is known to us all, without efforts nothing can be achieved. Tiechui was late, which made Ms. Liu very angry.
4. the same…as 与 the same…that
Mr. Darcy is the same man as I love. Mr. Darcy is the same man that I love.
Those who have kept diligent for years could achieve something eventually. My mother is the woman in the world who I love most. I have a friend who ranks first in every exam.
用 that 不用 who 的情形:主句以 who 开头的疑问句;先行词前有最高级或序数词;关系代词在从句中作表语;先行词前有 only, some, any, no, every, little, few, much, all, very 等词修饰时。

6. which 和 that 的区别

I’ll never forget the time during which I spent my childhood in the country. Tiechui is always careless, which we should not be.
用 that 的情形:先行词被序数词或最高级修饰;先行词是不定代词 much, little, none, all, every(thing), any(thing), no(thing) 等;先行词被 the only, the same, the very 修饰;主句以 here, there 开头;先行词既有人又有物;主句以 who 或 which 开头的疑问句。
Dayan is the funniest woman that I have ever met. There’s nothing that can be said about it. The only thing that we could do was to wait. The writer and his work that you mentioned are really famous.
关系副词可用“介词+关系代词”替换:when → 所有介词 + which;where → 所有介词 + which;why → for which(先行词为 reason 时)。
whose 可用 of which/whom 替换。
Dayan bought a telescope, through which she could see stars.
